Join our expert guides in the premiere Orca Whale waters! Sea Quest’s specialty is finding orca whales and marine wildlife while kayaking. We give you the best chance because our routes are chosen each day using the most recent reports to maximize your chances for a whale encounter! Our 40 years of living and working as biologists and educators in the San Juan Islands make us the top kayaking and wildlife experts! You may also see seals, sea lions, porpoises, otters, eagles and much more.

Our sea kayaks are stable, safe and fun for all ages! Sea Quest accommodates everyone from experts to beginners and can customize tours to fit your needs. Families with kids will appreciate our family tours – age 5 & up – and our 3-person kayaks allow small children to be seated between two adults. Capsizes are extremely rare and most years Sea Quest has none – but you will get wet feet!

Sea Quest provides professional leadership, small group size, and a perfect safety record after 30+ years. Our naturalist guides are experts from whales to tidepool creatures. Day-trip routes visit Lime Kiln Whale Watch Park, the San Juan Islands National Monument, the National Park, and/or State Park islands. Join our 2, 3 & 5-day camping trips if you wish to explore the remote outer islands. Birders can arrange to hike with the author of “Birding in the San Juan Islands”, too!
